Inventor 2016, Place from Content Center Is Slow

Hello, I'm working with a customer and we have just upgraded them from inventor 2014 to 2016. However, since the upgrade they are complaining about issues with the task "Place from Content Center" They claim before the upgrade, it was reasonably quick, but since the upgrade it is extremely slow. We have downloaded a local copy of the content center onto their computer but the issue persists. Is there something I am missing here? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

In the earlier version of Inventor they may have had unused content center libraries turned off in their project file.  Are they using (or defined) any favorites in Inventor CC?

@Mark.Lancaster Hi Mark, The Project file they are using is the same ipt used by other draftsmen in the company. After doing some more tests I found that even though in the project file options the content center is pointing to a local file, watching the network revealed when using "Place from content center" Inventor will still establish a connection with the Vault Server. This leads me to believe that instead of picking up the files off the local machine, it still is downloading them each time from the Server.

Here's how content center works...

When you place from content center (either using Vault to maintain it or desktop content)..  Inventor first looks at the location you have defined either in your application options or project file.  If the part is not there then Inventor pulls it from the content center.  So unless you moved the existing 2014 stuff over to the new location defined in Inventor 2016, then it will pull the stuff from content center until the CC part is sitting on the user's hard drive.  You can learn more about this process in this article.
