Hi,

I'm not sure what level you're aiming at, but have you considered the built in "learning path". I think it's a good, clear, interactive introduction to the basics.

Thanks,

Kurt

Why wouldn't you teach using the latest software?

What specifically are you intending on teaching? Is this a complete "all inclusive" course or maybe just a 2 hour introduction course or what?

If I was teaching a class I would develop my own models/drawings/teaching material based specifically on the topics I wanted to cover vs just copying someone elses work..

Outside of what @mcgyvr mentioned..  How are you handling the license aspect so you can teach Inventor to others?

Hi! There are quite a few books to read if you want. You can go to Amazon.com and look for Autodesk Inventor. Without even buying any book, you can get a lot of useful information about Inventor online for free. The following link contains a lot of wonderful videos or documents or tutorials that Autodesk created along with our enthusiastic experts around the world. Please take a look.

If you are looking for teaching resources, such as datasets, powerpoints and exercises, look for 'Autodesk certified' teaching material.

For Inventor, this will be Ascent or Wiley/Sybex:
