Inventor 2015 multi-processor capability?

Can someone please tell me if Inventor 2015 uses multi-processors when doing those dreaded updates to large models that have many inter-relationships?

I may need it for FEA as well.

I don't need it for rendering.

Thanx

Currently IPT's only use a single core along with IAM files. You do get multi-cores in the IDW enviroment generating views and in Studio and FEA.

A programmer told me that multi-threading is a huge deal to implement. So I suppose no sudden changes will come.

and the most popular request on Ideastation is....  *drum-roll*....

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideastation/full-use-of-multicore-processor/idi-p/3744575

As far as I understand, to use multiple processors you need calculations that can be done in parallel.  But, this is almost the opposite of the linear nature of part creation (extrusion 1 -> fillet 1 etc) means you can't calculate a feature down the tree at the same time (or before) the feature above it has been processed.  So, whether it's even possible, no idea.

But, there's a good question whether an assembly could use multiple cores to process each component in parallel (assuming there's not adaptive cross-linking)?

Hopefully something can be added to Inventor sooner than later, as it would be fantastic for pretty much all users.
