Hi
The short answer, Inventor 2010 is not supported by Windows 10.
As a long shot, do a search on windows 8.1 / 10 for any issues and solutions. I know that there were a few dotnet issues with those operating systems, but I personally don't think you will get Inventor 2010 to work.
You will either have to downgrade your operating system or, budget allowing, upgrade your Inventor.
You need to roll back to Windows 7 and stay there until you upgrade your Inventor to a newer version that supports Windows 10..
And you need to make sure SP1 is installed for INV 2010 and any other updates/service packs released after that..
Its simply not supported at all on Windows 10 (or 8, 8.1)
Downgrade to Windows 7
Short but sweet answer DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING WINDOWS 10, not until we have no option.
I installed it months ago thinking it would be a good thing ITS CARP then and still is, it's riddled with problems. It's had more quick ugly fixes that all other versions of windows, well Windows 95 onwards in my case, put together.
Has not been my experience with my home computers. So far no complaints with Windows 10, except for the usual problems with any new OS "where did they hide my _______ ?"
