Inventor 2010 Add-in Startup keeps unchecking

I have a 2010 inventor install.  I just finished a model, and am trying to create a STL file.  Save As does not show STL file format available.  I go to add-in manager through start button (can't access through Inventor ribbon button), and check stl translator load on startup box.  Inventor not running while I do this.  I check add-in manager through start button immediately after, and load on startup button returns to unchecked for STL translator.

I beleive that you need to go through the File>Export>CadFormat for this and not the File>Save-As

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

Blair,

Thank you for the quick response.  My export button allows only .xgl or .zgl.  The option button on the export dialog box can be pushed, but no observable action occurs.

Can you attach the *.ipt file here?

Have you installed all Service Packs and Updates for 2010?

JDMather,

Again, thank you for responding.  I am a little retiscent to send the ipt file.  I do have access to individuals in my lab with Inventor, and will try and work with them to get the STL file.

As to the Service Packs and updates, I am not aware of ever conciously doing this.  Is there a procedure to perform, and do I need Admin rights?

Thank you!

PS-as a side note, I purchased Autocad Inventor 2015 via digital download, and have yet to figure out how to bypass our firewall to get it downloaded.  Urgh.
