Intersecting Bend Failure

Hello,

I'm trying to recreate an imported solid (possibly created in Solidworks or Pro-E) into a clean, parametric model using Inventor sheet metal environment. This part has one tricky area where two bends intersect. I've had three attempts so far using bend, flange, and fold. Fold is kind of lame, but it gets the most accurate part so far. However, Inventor rips the part at the seam, instead of blending the bends. If anyone has an idea or work-around, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

'Funnybus

A thought, try a lofted flange using your end profiles then trim the ears to shape.

Hi! The original part though looks nice, is actually not real representation of crossing over bends. Inventor does not like two bends crossing over each other. If you want, you can attach the part here or send it to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com), I can take a look and see if there is a way to avoid such bends.

Many thanks!
