Can anyone explain to me why there is a sequence of selecting lines like below?

I found another way that seems simpler which is

- Select line 2, line 1, right click select Intersection

- Select line 2, line 3, right click select Intersection

- Select line 2

Bonus:
If you want to dim the size as shown below, follow the steps below.

Line 1 > Line 2 > Intersection > Line 1 > Line 3

Hi!

Basically using Intersecting works in selecting pairs:

If you have a particular dimension that you need and don't get it yet, post here a scheme and we will try to help you.

BTW, your bonus have one dispensable selection , is more like:

1- Line 1 > Line 2 > Intersection (first pair selected)

2- Line 3 (and drag)

To use the intersection command (right-click menu), click between the edges you want to create the intersection.

The program's behavior is stable.

One other technique is to place dimensions to available points, then drag them to the intersections.  I often use this instead of the multiple right mouse clicks and menu picks.  I don't know that it's any quicker, but it is more intuitive, in my opinion.
