Hello all,
I am trying to generate an internal bevel gear as shown in the attached image. I have not found this gear design anywhere besides in a single short youtube animation shown below.

I wonder if there a way to adjust the settings in Inventors (or SolidWorks) gear generator to produce such a gear?

I think, I could do it. See my initial attempt.
With Inventor tools, it's not possible in a straightforward way.
- Create a normal gear set
- Open the internal gear
- Create sketch on tooth plane
- Copy it to an offset plane
- Scale the new sketch, based on the gear ratio
- Loft between these sketches
Main work is done.

Interesting approach! Thanks for attempting it. I wonder if the smaller bevel gear will mesh properly? In reagrds to the pressure angle, diameteral pitch, etc.
Sure. It's only a matter of knowledge and experience.
