Installing Inventor 2016 on Windows 7 fail.

I am having problems installing Inventor 2016.  I have fallowed the installation instructions.  I know the problem lies in my Windows 7 system.  I am getting the Install Failure: Error 997 message. My question is would the registry modifications recommended on the "http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Install-Failure-Error-997... solve my problem.

You might try searching this forum.  In a quick search, I found this.  If still no luck, you might want to post on the Installation and Licensing forum, since you are having a problem installing the software.

It could very possibly be a bad uncompleted install of either of the two listed MS Patches/Updates.
