Insert PDF

Hi all. Today I went to try and insert a PDF into a drawing and get the same error as described below from 6 years ago. Is this still an issue?? It only works when I link the file (which I dont want to do) and then all I get is an empty box. See pics.

Is there an easy way around this that doesn't need to get my network administrator involved to upload microsoft hotfixes or downloading the newest 64 bit adobe whenever that comes out?

I have already tried taking a snip and converting to jpeg/png/word and nothing has enough image clarity to be useful on screen or printed.

I'm using Inventor 22, Windows10 x64

Using 2020, insert object PDF works but the quality is really poor. Perhaps there is settings to work with for the quality issue but it isn't clear if that exists.

Interesting. Did you have the "link object" box checked or unchecked. I get an error if I try to insert without the document being linked. If that's the quality I can expect it might be a moot point. I have some fairly complicated customer drawings I would like to add as a separate sheet so I can rev a drawing when the customer sends us something new. With that quality that you wouldn't be able to see the dimensions...

No Link, straight embed. The quality of word / excel docs can also be bad when viewed on screen. It improves slightly when printed but it is never as clear as in there native viewers. Hopefully thee is a guru that could help you out with both issues.
