Inquiry for speed when exporting idw to dwg in Inventor (inquire about PC specs)

Hello. I use Inventor 2020.

When exporting a dwg file, place multiple assembly files and part files in a single idw drawing and export them to dwg.

This process takes some time, so I hope there is a faster conversion method.

I would like to proceed without using the task scheduler.

And does it have anything to do with PC specs when exporting to dwg files?

Is it slow because of PC specs?

That is all.

Thank you.

Hi! The process of exporting dwg may not be multi-threaded. So, it won't be as fast as other Export workflow. I am not sure if you are aware of a workflow in AutoCAD. If you have access to AutoCAD 2020 (the same or newer version than Inventor), you can use VIEWBASE command to create associative views to Inventor assemblies or parts. Then you can simply use EXPORTLAYOUT command to export the views to dwg. Have you tried it? It may be faster that the workflow you are using.

Many thanks!
