Importing models of real-life parts/Hardware into Inventor to work around

So, I wanted to make a plane with some parts that I have but first I needed to design it so I could 3D print the parts, but I need to make a slot to put the motor and the fan. I wanted to know if there was a way to even import things or not.

Hi

Where do you want to import the parts from?

I dont know i was wondering if there was a recourse with lots of hardware files or if it would be something community made. Its says the motor is a 3-6v motor 1PC

There are many sites with ready-made CAD models, but all of them only have resources that their users have prepared. You can check if the community has done something similar, and if you can't find it, you can do it yourself.

Hi, these file types are supported for importing 3rd party data. You should be able to just drag and drop the file onto the menu bar to start the import process.

Along with the websites Kacper listed, McMaster, Parker, Brennan, Misumi, and many other retail sites have tons of downloadable models such as this one:
