Importing DWG/ Solid Edge drafts

Hello everyone,

I have a problem importing 2D DWG drawings into inventor, i want to make a inventor idw from the dwg or SolidEdge draft.

When i select 'import DWG' and go through the menu i can see a preview which looks fine, when i click finish to start the conversion it loads about half of the drawing and then stays stuck for a indefinite amount of time. 

Has anyone had this problem? i've tried to run it multiple times but it keeps getting stuck halfway through.

Hi Daan,

Is the dwg file saved by AutoCAD or other Autodesk products? Can you view the dwg file correctly in Autodesk DWG TrueView?
