Importing a STP or Parasolid into Inventor 2017

I have an assembly that I create a shrinkwrap from. Then I export the shrinkwrap to a STP as well as a Parasolid. There are no errors or anything at this step. Both exported files are approximately 13Megs. When I try to import back into inventor to verify the files, it literally just sits there at 95%. I have tried opening a part and then do the import command. I have tried to open the file from file open command. I have tried to import into an assembly. They all hang at the same point. I even tried to just export from the assembly file, bypassing the shrinkwrap and still the same result. Am I missing a setting or something? When I did this in the past it worked flawlessly.

Both files open fine here (2017).

Any ideas on why my system just hangs up on them when trying to open?

Try a simple cube first.

If that works, then try a simple assembly with one cube and one cylinder.

If neither of these test work - then we have narrowed down the problem.

Created cube, saved, exported. Opened stp file no issues.
Created cylinder, created assembly with cylinder & cube, exported. Opened stp file no issues.

Next suggestion.

Can you post screen shot of your Import Options?

Are you opening the file from a different folder location than the original files?

Also, by chance I rebooted my computer and on the attempt after rebooting the file opened significantly faster. (I would guess less than 15 seconds vs 1.5 minutes.)

Where would I find that? When I run the Autodesk desktop App, it says there are no updates available.

Looks like I had some paths going to the server, this was causing the bottleneck. Once I adjusted file paths to be local on the machine, opened up real quick.
