Import IFC files

Hello.

I am wondering why I can export an IFC from Inventor, but I can not import an IFC file to Inventor.

Why is that so? I run in to this problem approx two times a month.

Is it something Autodesk is working on?

Am I doing something wrong?

Have a nice day.

Kind regards, Lars

Did you try https://cadexchanger.com/ ?

If so, what went wrong?

Revit is a good translator, but I understand you may not want to
buy a license or learn it just for the translation of IFC files.

My point exactly.

And it's not difficult OR EXPENSIVE without Revit?

Please post one of your IFC files so I can try it in Rhino3d.
Rhino3d has an add-on that does this.

Hi Lars, this is something we are looking in to. Please join the beta community as mentioned above to contribute.
You need to join the Inventor beta program, this has nothing to do with Revit.

Thanks!
