Import autocad file to inventor file

Help! I need to do a drawing in inventor ASAP and I've never used the software. I have a design drawn out on paper, and I want to use it as a template. I understand that you can import a scan into autocad... so how do you import the autocad file into inventor so I can make it 3D. Or can I just import the scanned file into inventor? How??? Thanks for your help!

Forget AutoCAD.

Just put it in an Inventor sketch.
