Hello. Made in Illustrtor Image trace my pictures. Contour retained fotmat DWG. In Inventor, in sketch mode I imported my DWG and ran into a problem. 1. It so slow the computer. Waiting for 20-30min.... 2. When you try to move the sketch gives an error! Who knows how to fix it?

Hi E99A5E0BA,

Inventor's sketch solver tries to "do stuff" with unconstrained geometry, so when you try to move it, it tries to solve all of it over and over.

To get around this you can import your geometry and then ( first thing ) create a sketch block of your entire sketch. Then you can move the bock without the solver trying to "do stuff".

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

Yes.

Attach your *.ipt file here if you can't figure it out.

While in Sketch click on the down arrow next to Create to find the hidden Sketch Block tool.

Another thing to help you out with less-complicated designs, that may not need to be blocked, is to enable the import option for constrained endpoints. Most art vector programs have no system of "welding" vertices together. When they come into Inventor, they are stacked on top of one another instead of being coincident. By enabling the endpoint constraints, the endpoints become welded together. This will solve 99% of issues where a vector will come in and not appear like a closed profile (e.g., you're unable to extrude it), even when Illustrator treats it as closed.
