I am working with a client who is using Inventor 2021 and doesn't wish to upgrade at the moment. So, I searched though these forums and found out how to get Inventor 2021 Trail, which usually Build 183 or RTM or whatever is called basically Inventor 2021.0.
This is where the issue starts, I cant open drawings without crashing, these drawings were created by me 4 years ago using Inventor 2021 when I worked for this client on their own PC. After wasting 10 hours, I came to conclusion that their Inventor 2021 was updated to the latest build Inventor 2021.5.2, and because I'm opening it on Inventor 2021.0.1, it was causing the crashes.
So, I reached out at-least 6 times using the chat feature. That was waste of time.
I was emailed by support that they will not help me because I am on Trail Version and that support is only provided to PAID COMMERICAL USERS.
So, I bought a monthly license and logged into Inventor 2021 to activate it. And now its activated, but still on 2021.0.1. I have tried the "Help menu" and Autodesk App" , I do not see any updates. Now I have wasted good 2 days and connect support again. And what do I get repeat of earlier experience, even after getting paid license. They will just disconnect you, if they don't know what to do. Or they purposefully provide incorrect links, thinking the user is an naive. And then disconnect saying "Thanks for reaching out...
So, now I'm 550$NZ out of Pocket, with non-existent support. I did get links to Inventor 2021.5.2, but it wont install, because I need to install all updates Incrementally from 2021.0, 2021.1, all the way to 2021.5.2. I thought the "support agents" should know this, but nope, they had no clue. How does Autodesk decide who to put on support.
Please help me, I need this important work done, and it needs to be done on Inventor 2021 and on latest one that means all the updates. What do I do? besides hitting my head with the wall.
Thanks.
