I can't remove an ipropertie (G_W).

I have a part that I imported as a stp file. I delete the G_W of 0 that is associated with it but when I save and check it back into the vault, the width of 0 returns. I've checked it out and checked it in each time I've tried. I've deleted and applied it each time. any thoughts?

Sounds like you may have a parameter with the G_W name that is set to Export. An exported parameter creates a custom iProperty with the same name.

That would explain why the deleted property keeps coming back.  It will continue to do so unless you either turn off the Export checkbox for that parameter, or get rid of the parameter itself.

I had thought of that. There isn't a parameter for G_W except in the iproperties, that keeps repopulating after I check it back in the vault.

I'm not a Vault user, so if it's a Vault-specific issue I won't be any help.

But one additional thing you could test - if saving the file regenerates the property without checking it into Vault, then you may have an iLogic rule that creates the property.

If it only happens on check-in, then it probably is a Vault issue.

Hi! It seems that you have some external iLogic rules filling in these iProperty values. I would check those rules.

Many thanks!
