When I create an angle dimension and change it, or change others dimensions, the angle dimension change to the outside or opposite side.

This problem started after Inventor 2022 upgraded to 2023.

I appreciate all the advice.

FS.

Hi! This behavior does happen periodically on a case-by-case basis. I have seen it in prior releases. The issue here is that the sketch dimension does not have the notion of direction. As long as the absolute value is fulfilled, the sketch solve is considered legitimate. One way to mitigate this behavior is to move EOP above the sketch and create an angular workplane. Then move EOP below the sketch and project the workplane to the sketch. Use the projected line as the reference to drive angular change in the sketch.

Many thanks!

If I remember correctly, that does happen, but the value when editing the dimension remains the same as what you typed while the dimension and arrows were inside.

because it is only in the model sketch, I never worried about it.

When I start the dimension (red) below the horizontal line (white), the final angle dimension (green) keeps where I want it.

This is really so boring.

Using the Inventor 2022 I didn't have this problem. But now, using 2023...ARGH!!!!

Flipping angles, they're annoying.

Happens all the time.

Looks like both lines doesn't use same end point.  So the dimension has more then one solution.

@Frederick_Law ,

you are absolutely right. That's the problem!

But, the way that I created these lines is the same way that I have created a lot of other sketches, and never I had this problem. It started after the 2023 upgrade.

Anyway, now I need to trim and reconnect some lines to create a starting point for all angles and dimensions to keep where I want. So nice, isn't it?

Thanks a lot!
