Hey everyone, I am trying to design a meyer copy
alto saxophone mouthpiece. When I try to make the shapes to define it more, the lines are 2 dimensional. How can I resolve this? I want the mouthpiiece to look like this:
but the blank and the lines in Autodesk Inventor looks like this:

Your sketch doesn't really match up to the pictures. It looks like a simpe Revolution should give you the main body with a simple cut for the flat where the Reed goes and another cut for the upp lip surface. Then create sweep profile for the center as I looks like the center opening isn't straight.
I would have to go down to my basement and dig out my old saxaphone to check if the center is straight or curved.
