Hydraulic scheme drawing 2D

Hello everyone, I'm using Inventor for drawing 3D and 2D hydraulic parts.

In the 2D usually I create a Sketch and draw all the parts of a hydraulic scheme by myself. There is a way/add-on/tool that can help me to do this without draw everytime the parts? Like import symbols from a library..

This is an example found on internet:

Thank you all!

Hi!

You can create your own symbol library in one as blocks dwg (or idw), and then you can cinsert those symbols (blocks) along your work, they will be always available to insert them quickly, every time you need them:

Thanks for the reply!

I tried and the symbol is saved in "local". How to save in the libraries? And the libraries are shared with my colleague?

@g.rocco

Hi.  I'm sure there are excellent reasons why you are doing these schematics in Inventor. Still, I just wanted to mention that AutoCAD Electrical has a Hydraulics module for laying out these schematic drawings, with some built-in intelligence behind the symbols, such as part numbers, catalog numbers, etc.

The library is just a file placed in a specific folder***, where you can find the symbols

You can share it with your colleagues, and they have to place the doc in the same folder in their PCs.

First, you have to create the symbols in a document.

After creation, the symbols will be local in this file.

You can add the local files to a "symbol template" doc.

This file will be at:

C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 20xx\Design Data\Symbol Library (or similar)***

Then you have the symbol template available to other documents.

You can save all symbols in the file and share/copy it to colleague to use as Template.
