Maybe I'm just dumb, but I can't find a way to export DXF from Inventor 2021.  I'm starting from an IDW file.

Looks like DWG is the only option, even in 2020.

Unless I'm missing something in your question, you can just use Save Copy As, and select your DXF filetype...

DXF is typically used for Sheet Metal parts. Open your model, create a flat pattern, right-click that in the browser and export/save to DXF.

Hi Folks,

There is a new option in the Sheet Metal Flat Pattern DXF Export workflow on 2023, mentioned by Gabriel. In the Geometry tab, you may select arcs, instead of lines as the converting geometry for splines. The resultant DXF geometry will be smoother.
