I have a BOM and made an assy using "make components".  the assy is Purchased, then I tried Inseperable but each time the components show up in the BOM instead of the assy.  What gives?

In this case, more like to recommend you to leverage substitute part to represent the assembly.

Hope it helps!

In the BoM, change the assembly to purchased or normal & it will display as a single item in the parts list.

share an example .... Otherwise, we're assuming / guessing what you want to do.

Sounds like a simple setting for the assembly needs to be changed.

@JBEDsol

Can add them as Virtual Parts. I do it all the time for little things you just want to order and not have them in the assembly like cables or tools needed for assembly.

Hi! I believe it can be done if BOM structure properties are set correctly. Could you share an example here?

Many thanks!

Virtual parts are the way to go, just click make part next to place in an .iam file.
