How to make my "Title field" in the Drawing's Title Block automatically retrieve the respective part ".ipt file name" and display it? Maybe iLogic?

I simply want to customize my title block so that the Title field automatically retrieves the respective model's ".ipt file name" and displays it, without the file extension. I read about iLogic, but I am having difficulty figuring it out.

I managed to create a Custom Drawing Template and got all I need right, this is the last thing to make it perfect. I am new to the software, so if you can, a detailed step-by-step would be extremellyyyy helpful.

For example, my .ipt file is named "Proj5B Prob 5-6-E.ipt", how can I make my Title Block automatically display "Proj5B Prob 5-6-E" in the Title field?

Hi @bangeloguedes,

This is simply done by editing your title block, then going to sketch and starting a text box.

Once text box is open follow the image attached:

1. Ensure your dropdown is on standard iproperties

2. Ensure the property dropdown says "TITLE"

3. Click the function icon with down arrow to insert it into your text box.

Hi! For this request, there is no need to use iLogic. Certainly iLogic can do it too. But, it is not required here. Please take a look at the following thread. There is an instructional video showing the workflow. There are other videos on Youtube showing the same workflow too.

Many thanks!
