How to get one BOM for all parts list, sheets and views?

I think i need to chance how i do things in the future. As assemblies get bigger i think i need position number to be absolute as well and according to the top level BOM (probably)

Today i get a BOM from whatever assembly is inserted. This BOM is not reflected in next sheet where individual parts are displayed.

Top level iam is present but i wish to use the empty space for the spacer. How do i get BOM(Pos nr) for it to follow iam BOM so Pos number if chanced remains correct.

I think what you are saying is that you want the sub assembly BOM to have the same item number as the main BOM?
One solution is to add a custom iProperty in the top level assembly. Copy and paste all your item numbers into that column. When you save, all those numbers will be pushed to the individual part files.
Then use that custom iProperty in your BOM and balloons instead of the normal Item number.

Oh dear. I do not have time for all that  "programming"  and messing about.

Manually updating pos will suffice a little longer.

Well... for bigger assemblies, this would be a paint...
With code you can do that with one click...
