How to export into quad mesh?

Hi

I export inventor .iam into fbx and obj, they are triangle mesh. Are there option of exporting quad mesh?

I believe Inventor only exports triangle mesh data.. 

You will likely need to use another program to convert to quad if needed.

Rhino3D now has some quadmesh tools.

There are others too, but they're much more expensive.

Not from Inventor.  If you are a subscriber, then you can use 3ds max to convert to a quad mesh.  (not alot of options though).  You could also look into meshlab or blender (both free) to convert to quad.

I've used both Blender and MeshLab, and found Blender to be nearly impossible to learn. MeshLab is very limited but pretty good for basic stuff.
