How to delete a style which is referenced by another style

I have a style I want to delete, style library A say.

It appears in the list of styles in the style mananger.

But I cannot delete the style because it is being referenced by style, style B say.

But style B does not appear in the any of the style manager lists.

What have I misunderstood?

@oransen

Is this a part or assembly style, or a drawing style you're trying to delete?

OK..  Next question Smiley LOL

Is this an overall standard/style or a style related to a given annotation?

I spent hours on finding such a style to delete... never found it. They made it so complex. It is like a needle in a haystack....

Hi! Yes, it can be hard to find the nested styles or associated styles. Somethings the style is corrupted and it cannot be deleted. If you can share an example here, I should be able to tell if it is a corrupted case or find the source styles to delete.

Many thanks!

I've attached a screenshot.

But even my  "thrashing around like a drunk octopus" method I couldn't achieve my aim or understand exactlyhow to fix the porblem.

As an aside I've mad a suggestion that drawing styles should be saved in IDW files, so when we open an IDW we know where the styles are and how to modify them. It is unelegant I know, but very very very easy to understand and could save hours of drunk octopus thrashing.

Owen, you fool, the screenshot you posted shows what you have to do. Go into Standard and remove the style the dialog box tells you to.
