Perhaps with a sketch driven pattern.

What version of Inventor are you using?

Create your geometry the hard way and then attach the *.ipt file here for recommendations on an easier way.

Maybe.. Can you be much more specific?

An example of this pattern would help greatly..

Whats an unequal spaced pattern anyways? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Can a "pattern" be unequal?

it will take time boss. it will be better to create a sketch instead of using this  way .

Yep, irregularly spaced patterns do exist, especially in the aircraft industry in laying out rivet holes in sheet metal.  They can be a real pain in the bazooka to lay out correctly with the square or linear pattern option in Inventor.  Although more time consuming, I've found that they are more accurately created using separate sketches for each "pattern".

Yes its ability to create a pattern when there is no pattern isn't quite there yet..

Creo solved that decades ago: Table driven pattern.  Like a hole table on a 2D print, you specify the x and y origin for the pattern and offsets for each member.  You even get a nice spreadsheet-like interface to enter the member offsets.

It's useful when placing components that must follow the irregular pattern in an assembly.

I haven't been able to use the Inventor sketch-driven pattern in production yet, I hope it is as easy as the Creo solution.

Why can't you use table driven placement (I'll resist the term "pattern" till I see a, well, pattern)?

Sketch blocks and or iFeatures also come to mind.

Hi! On 2017, you can create sketch points spaced unevenly and then have the sketch driven pattern to follow it. Would it satisfy the need?

Many thanks!

I doubt it.. Thats no more or no less work than just doing it all manually anyways..

They really haven't given a good example of what they are trying to accomplish yet..

A part with 4 or 5 holes in it (that they have posted) sure doesn't scream the need for automation or any other "fancy" non-pattern/pattern functionality to me.

I "suspect" the want the ability to just have a big table come up and be able to type in X and Y values and press "OK".. Like some other software seems to have and they really won't be happy with any other "workarounds" as none will be as simple as that could be..

I think you don't have basic knowledge in Inventor. Am I correct? I recommended you to learn about Inventor Sketch Driven Pattern video url https://goo.gl/wDkMhh and https://goo.gl/JCCPo8 .If you have any questions feel free to ask.

no you are wrong. I am very well with inventor. what your are showing this is just a basic thing. I am looking for something different as other software does.

sketch pattern as simple as drawing a manual sketch .  I attached the sketch based pattern what am I looking for. I drew the sketch manually but I don't want  draw a sketch . so I am looking for a simple step.  I thought in community there will be someone know about this. But, till now nobody does. And I didn't post this forum to argue. I want to learn inventor deeply as expert does.

thanks for response.
