how to change jagged edges of a detail to smooth

Hello helpful folks,

I update and redraw a lot of drawings and the details all used to be made with jagged edges but now they need to have smooth edges, how can ik change that without having to making a new detail.

Hello @Anonymous,

Unfortunately, you have to recreate the detail view since the option is only available in the creation dialog.

It is actually possible, I posted this problem on the ideas forum and someone told me how to do it 🙂

If you select the detail you can click with the recht mouse button en just select smooth edges.

Anychance we could add this in to the template? so that default cut edges selected as "smooth".

Hi! The option has been added to View Preferences (Styles and Standards -> Standard -> View Preferences -> Detail View).

I'm operating on 2027 Autodesk Inventor. 

Highlight detail section view, right click, select Edit Section Properties, then change cut edges from jagged to smooth.
