How to 3D print knurled bar made in Inventor

Hi everyone,
Could someone please help how to 3D print knurled bar made in Inventor..

Like for example, for threading we have to use cool orange application to convert threads into real threads in Inventor.. is there an application in Inventor to convert cosmetic knurled bar into real knurled bar ready to be printed.

Regards,

Hello,

See the video in this link for help on modelling a realistic knurled surface : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXQm9Wln130

As far as im aware there isn't an application that can automatically convert cosmetic knurls to real knurls.

Before you get too far on that, you'll want to check the 3D printer and material you're proposing to use.  Many combinations of the two will not have the required resolution to directly create a knurled surface.  Chances are you'll have to at least clean it up afterward, if not do it from scratch.
