I'm AutoCAD user and beginner in IV11.
I use in autocad insert blocks with attributes and put date, title, subject etc.
How is the easy way to start a new sheet format for my company?

I would advise hiring and experienced consultant to create your template. Not that it is hard to do but it is something you want done right.
How much training have you had with Inventor?
You can experiment with the editing the standard templates. (make back-ups of course)

This is my template in autoCAD, I use XREF, but in this case I localize the XREFs in blocks inserted.

The language is in portuguese, but you can put the informations in english, and can change any parameters as you want.
