How does "Load Express" work in Factory Design? (2016)

Hello,

I have a question about Factory Design and Load Express for a Factory Design Assembly.

In the Autodesk Knowledge I read the following :

"Load Full loads all component data and all commands are available. Load Express provides significantly faster (3-5x) file open times for large assemblies, but some commands are not available."

What commands are not available in Express mode? Is all the functionality of the Assets (factory properties) still available? I need to make my assembly faster, but I do not have the time to do tests, that's why I ask it here.

Hello,

It should work. You can simply test as below step -

Create an assembly, place several pieces of asset, save it. Click Express model to switch, Save again and close the file.

Now for next open, you can select Express model by default, the performance should be better.

Hi! The file can be loaded very fast for viewing purpose in Express mode. However, all add-ins are disabled in Express mode. If you want to edit the factory asset, you will need to load the assembly in full.
