How do i create this part

Greetings,

I have a picture of a valve body i want to model up. I have made a few attempts but am struggling to get the shape the same. I used a Loft but it is not successful. Is the Loft the correct command to use for this type of shape. If possible could a more experienced user then me post an example of the correct shape so i can learn from?

Here's a similar one, that I've done some years ago. I've placed machining separately from this casting (2011 data) in a derived part.

I am having trouble getting the Loft-4 to blend into the body. Can someone show me how to blend the Loft-4 into the body?
