How do I add a custom content center to Inventor?

I made a custom library and I am trying to add it to the Inventor of my colleague.

I added the .idcl file in the correct folder but when I update the libraries it just says it's up-to-date.

Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong and can help me how to add a custom library?

I searched for answers on this forum and on Google but could not find a helpful thing.

Hi! I guess the custom CC library idcl file needs to be migrated. Are you and your co-worker on the same release of Inventor?

Many thanks!

Hi John,

This is where the problem starts. When I want to migrate the CC library and click on the Update Tool, I just get the message that all libraries are up-to-date as you can see in the earlier post.

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry I am not sure which prior thread you are talking about. If possible, please share the custom library .idcl file with me directly, johnson.shiue@autodesk.com . I would like to reproduce the behavior on my machine.

Many thanks!

I send you an email John. Maybe someone else can help too, so here is a little extra information.

As explained earlier, I added the .idcl file to the correct folder (C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Content Center\Libraries) and when I open the Configure Libraries menu, it is not listed.

And after clicking the Update Tool, I just get the message that everything is up-to-date.

Hi Dennis,

Many thanks for sharing the files with me! Like I replied to you in the email, the issue is due to the fact that you have two CC libraries with the same name. You will need to remove one and the other can be kept.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the outstanding help John, I now have a better understanding of the CC libraries.

Maybe it is just this way or I need to understand it even better, it's a system that works, but I find it not very logical and intuitive. The whole libraries section in Inventor can use a big overhaul in my opinion, making it easier to use and more flexible.
