Help with converting .obj to .stl

Hi Everyone,

My first post here and still a bit of a newbie when it comes to inventor.

I received an .obj file, that I need to edit in order to generate a mold from. Normally I would just open the file and use the convert to a base feature add-on. Problem is this file is 44mb, and when I generate the file autodesk hangs and eventually crashes. Does anyone know of another way to do this, or have a quantum computer at their disposal?

Hi

This file has a lot of holes. You can't convert it to a solid with a single click.

You can try editing it in Fusion, but it will take some time. It's a good reference base, but you won't avoid the modeling work.
