Hey all this is my first post on the autodesk forum.

I'm relatively new to Inventor, only been using it for 6 months or so. been mostly using it for woodworking and recently I've been getting into designing 3D printed Lamps.

Through this process I've seen a few lamp designs online that have this sort of mesh lampshade. and was wondering how it was done. if anyone has tips or has designed something like this before help would be greatly appreciated!

Image attached of some mesh designs i've seen online

I've been looking everywhere online for a solution or a way to do this, cant find a thing.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi

Search YT for tutorials on knurling in Inventor. They show how to create sweeps on cylindrical surfaces.

Hi! I suggest you look into Geometric Pattern in Fusion.

Many thanks!
