I'm going crazy trying to get this shape modeled. It doesn't need to be exact, but I need to get visually pretty close. I've got the "arms" figured out close enough, but now I have 2 more issues:

1) I really can't figure out how to model the lower half and
2) Even if I could, I can't figure out how to seamlessly tie in the base with the "arms".

I have attached the STEP file for the arms I have modeled and the image of the piece I am trying to copy. Overall dimensions are 24" W x 24" L x 41" H if it makes a difference.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Hi

We need more photos to understand the real shape of the product.

You sent a step file so we have no idea what you did to make the arms. That might give us a better idea of how you need the rest done.

Did you do it with a loft? If so, couldn't you just have kept on lofting?

Did you have some additional dimensions beyond what you gave for overall? Is the 24x24 for the bottom of the base? (The tops don't fall within that square in your model.) Do the left and right (in that picture) have two facets like the arms you modeled? How thin does it get in the middle at the bottom?

Here's what I was able to come up with from what you gave us (but it's fudged in so many ways).

Here is my attempt.  Since I don't have actual dimensions, it's a bit rough, but the parameters can be adjusted to make it work, I think.

The attached file is Inventor 2024 format (since that's the version you used to produce your .stp file).
