Harness Reports

Has anyone figured out how to get the Cable & Harness Report to report on Virtual Parts?

What I need to end up with is a way to report components that are neither wires or terminals.  I need to figure out how to make them part of the harness assembly too, for that matter.

I can get Labels to show up on the nailboard, and I can make 'Loom's that show up on the nailboard, but I cannot get them in the report which means I'd have to go and physically count all the .... cable ties.  That could get ugly.

I can understand exactly what you need (as i also needed it before), and it's as ugly as it seems.

These are the only properties you can get from harness assemblies.Check this web.( The Type of properties section will show you what you can do)

Hope it helps to clarify

Hello,

I'm using Inventor 2020. Did anything change since this was brought up?

I'm using different type of pins with my connector, to which I assigned virtual parts  (Terminals). I'd like to report the virtual terminal names in my report. I don't see an obvious way to do it. Is it possible at all?

Thank you,

Vicki
