Getting following Sweep error for sweeping a circle around circular path.

With reference to the attached drawing ("Chain - Specifications"), I am trying to use sweep commands to create two chain coils at right angle to each other. I will then use rectangular pattern to create the complete chain. The second sweep is giving me an error (as shown in attached file; "Chain - Sweep Error"). The problem "Part" file is attached. Any suggestions.

Hi

Both links should be made using the Revolve tool. You don't need Sweep for this - it creates unnecessary sketches and increases the file size for no reason.

If the elements are tangent, the second item should be made in new solid mode.

To elaborate on what @kacper.suchomski said, in the real world these would be two separate bodies, therefore:

edit your second Sweep and select New Solid.

Also, your Sketch4 is not fully defined.  Add a Horizontal Constraint between the Origin and the center of the circle.

You should see the sketch change color indicating it is fully defined.

Hi! I think it is a bug. It should work regardless. The Sweep does not seem to like the condition when the two tori just touch each other. Somehow Combine works afterwards.

Many thanks!
