Generating 2D (PDF) and DXF of laser-cut parts using I logic ?

Hi Experts

INV 2018

I am making 2D drawings and DXF for heaps of flat mild steel parts. They are pretty basic parts which require length, width and thickness to be shown in the 2D drawing. Dxf files are made by exporting a face.

Is there any method to generate this 2D and Dxf automatically when I make the INVENTOR model ? I logic ?

Thanks

Basil

Hi! Basil,

Are you talking about exporting the 2D drawing or the flat pattern to dxf? Either can be done fairly easily. You can export the flat pattern (not the face) to dxf. I believe iLogic or Inventor API can help automate the process.

There are quite a few apps doing the exact workflow at Inventor App store.

Many thanks!
