Gear Generator for CNC Machining

I am in search of more information regarding the precision of the gear generator and extract tooth profile options provided in Inventor 2026. I have read the gear generator uses Wellman's Odontograph simplified method and isn't good enough for machining or use in a transmission. Is there any way I can use Fusion360 to get a more precise gear for CNC machining.

Export the tooth form as a dxf? from the gear generator, then import it back to the part to cut the actual profile.

There is a thread that was purged last year that might help.  I've filed an error report to the mods. It might be restored.  Try the wayback machine?
