Hi everyone,
I have designed a spur gear on inventor. I made 2. One with 14.5 degree pa and one with 30 degree pa. Ive cut both with my cnc but they are exactly the same.i transferred the files to cad and opened them on top of each other. There is no difference in the pa. Can someone help me with this.
The gear specs was. 12 dp x 54t x 14.5 degree and 30 degree.
Thanks

I think the gear teeth in inventor are indicative at best (on the basis that they will be cut with gear cutting tooling) . You can right click in the part and create tooth profile to do it exactly (can't remember exactly where) .

Use iLogic Copy? Please consider voting for this long overdue idea (not mine):https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/string-replace-for-ilogic-design-copy/idi-p/3821399

You should have Attached your files here for diagnosis.

The toothforms created by default are not true involute toothforms, but rather Wellman's Odontograph cosmetic forms.

Follow steps in this video to create true involute toothforms and report back your results (with all actual files).
