Frame members onto a drawing sheet

Hi All,

I made up a small frame with the frame generator. Is it a possibility to place each member from the frame onto a drawing sheet.

There will be mitre ends on some members and holes in 2 members. Can individual frame members be displayed on drawing sheet including end treatments (mitre cuts) and also the holes in the 2 members

Is there a possibility of an example posted back on the drawing sheet for the members?

i have attached a folder with the files. Inventor 2015

Cheers

Terry

Each of the members of the frame assembly have their own respective *.ipt files. You'll find them in the folder members on to drawing sheet > frame > Frame.  You can certainly place as many views of each of these on to a drawing sheet, just like any other drawing.

The holes are a different story. Because you placed the holes in the context of the assembly, they will not show up in the *.ipt files of those individual components.  There are a couple of ways around this. You could either remove the holes from the context of the assembly and place them in to the individual frame member parts.  Or you can create a level of detail of the assembly, suppressing all components but the frame member that you want to show.  Or third, you could just detail the holes in the context of the assembly.

I guess this all depends on how you intend to have this built.  If you are planning on drilling the holes after fabrication, you'll want to detail it through the latter method. If you intend to drill the holes in the frame members before fabrication, you'll probably want to detail in the first method explained above.

Kudos is much appreciated if the information I have shared is helpful to you and/or others
