Frame Generator Libraries

I have created several custom libraries over the time (saved as from a read only library). And just recently i have noticed that when i'm using the frame generator i can't seem to find a couple of my custom libraries. i think i have found the problem in that if i have created a library by coping a read only library and give it a unique family name or then the frame generator doesn't use it or can't see it. Keeping new new library linked or un-linked to it's parent library doesn't seem to make any difference.

Has anyone else found this behavior?

The library that you copied from must originate from the Structural Shapes Category. These have special authoring to allow them to be used by the FG.

If you author your own profiles for FG use you need to use the Structural Shape Authoring tool.

Thanks for replying. that makes sense when you think about. it stops you from putting bolts etc into a frame. most of my custom libraries are derived from the as installed read only libraries.
