Frame Generator – Display Member Lengths Without Decimals, Trailing Zeros, or "mm" (Batch Update)

Hi all,

I'm looking to update the Frame Generator member naming convention so that the length values appear without decimal places, trailing zeros, or the "mm" unit suffix. I know this can be manually done at the part level, but with large assemblies, doing it one member at a time is not practical.

Is there a way to apply this formatting globally or in batch, either via styles, templates, or automation (iLogic, for example)? If there is a previous discussion post or tutorial video covering this, I’d really appreciate a link or pointer.

The same goes for the description, size, and material fields—I’d like to standardize the format across all members without having to update each one manually.

Hi! I could be wrong but I thought this could be done within the PartsList. Edit the PartsList and right-click on the column -> Format Column. You should be able to change the precision.

If it does not work, please share the files in zip here. The forum experts can help take a closer look.

Many thanks!

@johnsonshiue

I tried fixing it thru by editing the partlist, but it's not working.

I will share the file thru zip.
