Welcome to the forums!

Would it be possible to also share in image file since many people in here may not be able to open a .dxf file?  Maybe a jpeg, or a screen capture?

@leonandersen75  I'm not understanding what specifically you are trying to do..

Have you used Inventor before?

What version of Inventor do you have?

Is that image just the path of the tubing on the floor?

And what piece are you trying to make specifically?

Can you explain why a simple extrusion or sketch and using the hole feature wouldn't allow you to create holes as needed?

Whats special about these holes?

Hi

I have now used the sweep feature, the problem is that in the corner the pipe that needs to be in the hole is over the level. its very hard to explain.

Hi! Are you trying to drill the holes from the top face? If yes, you can create a sketch on the top face and create center points. Dimension them properly. Then use Hole command to create the holes.

Is this what you are looking for?

Many thanks!

"the problem is that in the corner the pipe that needs to be in the hole is over the level"

  1. Which corner?  (1, 2, 3, or 4?)
  2. Which pipe?  (I don't see any pipes.)
  3. Which hole? (A or B)
  4. "the level" - what/where is "the level"?

Hi, are you saying that in this area here, the pipes should fit into the sweep, but it's protruding too high because you've cut that section down/rebated, making it thinner?

If that's the case you probably need 4 sketches for your path so you can bring the cut out down and then take it back up again at the other side.

Maybe you should draw what you intend to do on a piece of paper and post a photo of that here since modeling it in Inventor may be a challenge for you right now.. Then we can better understand and help you model it properly.

As you can see so far everyone is quite confused and lacking sufficient detail to make anything more than a wild guess.

Yes it is over level so i need to maybe make 4 sketches as you say. but how do you join the end then?

When you say 'holes', you actually mean recess right? As in, the entire sweep is your 'hole?'

Sorry, I rushed this off, but is this what you're looking for?

I bodged it a bit, but you should be able to see how to do it now (attached)
