Fixed row height for General Tables

Is there a way to set a fixed row height for Tables (General Tables is my need)?

I have seen many posts regarding this subject.  I even found one post from 2008 where a Wish List #846694 was given to this topic.  But I have not seen any solution.

I know I can drag the row height (see SF-201-5 row) and eyeball it as close as possible, but I'd really like something a little more precise.

Thanks!

Hello,

Have you tried going to styles editor --> Table (and then picking the table for the standard you use) -->Row Gap

Besides whats shown by Lewis above there is nothing..

The general table functionality in Inventor is basic at best that lacks any modern formatting/merging/colors,etc... ability like you would find in Excel or similar..

I will certainly give the ROW GAP setting a go.

What the heck is ROW GAP????

It's basically what it says on the tin, it controls the width of the row (vertical) distance between the cells that're below the column headers.

The option above it called "Heading Gap" controls the vertical gap for the column headers

Inventor is really good at taking something simple and making it complicated.

Other programs --> Right Click, (Formatting), Row Height -- type in desired number

Inventor --> Right Click, edit table style, hundreds of options .... click in the Heading Gap input box, highlight existing value, type new value --- repeat for Row Gap, click Save and Close

If you want some rows to have a different height, well good luck!

If you get paid by the hour, and don't have deadlines, Inventor is the best CAD package out there!!

Yep.. Solidworks hands down handles this specific stuff (ease of customization of tables) FAR..FAR better than Inventor does..

Of course once you set up standards,etc.. and learn the way each program expects the work to be done these differences don't really matter much..  It shouldn't be something you need to do often..
