Fillet Radius Loses Focus When Selecting Edges

Hi Guys,

Small annoyance.  Hopefully it's not something I'm doing different but when applying fillets my workflow is as follows:

    1. Hit "F" to bring up Fillet dialog

    2. Select edges I want to fillet

    3. Type radius I want

Now in 2018 the radius input seems to lose focus when I select edges so I have to click back in the radius input box to type a radius dim in.  Is it something I'm doing or have others noticed this behaviour change?

Thanks,

Hi! Are you on 2018 RTM build or 2018.1 Update? I cannot seem to reproduce the behavior you described here. I vaguely remember it was resolved on 2018.1 Update. Could you apply it to your machine?

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Thx for the response.  The update just popped up a couple minutes ago in the Autodesk Desktop App so I'll apply it tonight and see if it helps.

Thanks,

Hi! Just to clarify, the update just popped up is 2018.1.1. You will need to have 2018.1 installed in order to install 2018.1.1. If you are already on 2018.1, then the issue may not be resolved. I will need to know the exact workflow reproducing the behavior.

Many thanks!

Hmmm.... Yeah Inventor says it's on 2018.1 already.  I attached a screen cap that shows what I'm doing.  Maybe a sheet metal specific issue....?

Thanks,

Hi! This is a very good catch! It may be sheet metal specific or it is related to the de-selecting edge and disabled mini toolbar. I will work with project team to understand the behavior better and see what we can do.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

I tried it in 2017 and there the focus was maintained in the minitoolbar.  I prefer to work without them so if it's possible to change it so focus is maintained in the regular dialog that would be awesome.  Does it for me in sheet metal or regular parts.

Thanks for your time.
