File Save as Inventor Workspace View Vs Windows Navigation View

Everyone,

                I don’t know why Autodesk thinks that Inventor Workspace View should be default in the SAVE AS GUI.

Some update must have switched it.  I was having a very hard time saving files in the correct directory.

This view is really hard for me to understand (I got issues).  There is and Icon to click but you have to do it every time.

This get better in the OPTIONS / FILE there is a check box that just hides the two icons and turns it back on.

Icons hidden.

To fix this issue:

           C:\Users\LOGIN NAME\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Inventor 2027 (Your Version I think this is just  2027)

Edit the file:

           FileDialogSettings.xml

Find this line and change the 2 to a 1 it should match:

              <BrowserTree DefaultTreeType="1" LastUsedTreeType="1"/>

River Cai,

At the end of the URL there is a "," which causes the link to be "Invalid Parameters Specified". Correct URL: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/open-save-as-export-window/idi-p/14102583
